Previously known as byelaw 30, the water regulations in place in the UK is all about protecting stored water from contamination. Screen overflow kits consist of the screened overflow fitting, screened warning pipe and screened tank vent. Screened overflow kits are designed to contain a screening mesh, which enables the flow of liquids through the flow passage, whilst preventing solids from getting through the system.
Our screened overflow kits are available in a range of different sizes, including ¾”/22mm, 1½”/38mm, 2″/50mm, 2½”/67mm or 3″/75mm. Additionally, we also supply UPVC overflows in either 4 inches, 6 inches, 8 inches, or 12 inches. The overflow is recommended to be twice the size of the inlet into the tank.
Furthermore, we offer rodent screens for water tanks, which are designed to keep out insects and rodents from both the water tank and any connected pipework, so as to not restrict any overflow.
Precolor supplies a full range of fittings all of which meet the requirements of the UK Water Regulations, formerly known as Byelaw 30, we are able in many cases, to bring existing tanks up to current water regulations.
